Sherry Hudson is the Head Coach of the John Carroll Varsity Softball Team.  She was raised in Harford County and attended Fallston High School where she received Varsity letters in field hockey, basketball and softball.  She played Division I Softball at Hofstra University where she was named an Academic All American, was the Hofstra University Senior Scholar Athlete and was named Most Valuable Softball Player during her senior year. She also received numerous academic awards including the Academic Scholastic Award from the Biology Department and is a member of the PHI Beta Kappa Honor Society.  She continued her education by receiving a Master of Science in Business degree from Johns Hopkins University.

Furthermore, she participated in ASA Fastpitch Softball Leagues and National Tournaments for more than 35 years. She was hired as an assistant softball coach at John Carroll and then became head coach from 2008 until 2011.  She left to pursue family and professional goals and returned to John Carroll in 2016.  In addition to being varsity softball coach she has been employed for more than twenty years by Johns Hopkins University and currently works in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at the Bloomberg School of Public Health.
